Go to your infotainment's main menu and select applications. Choose Apple CarPlay. Then click on "Add new device." Then on your iPhone, select Bluetooth.
Same setup is in the 2022 model. 2021 model year has the old 9" screen and software that has wireless Carplay. There is no 2022 Mazda across the entire line-up that has wireless Carplay. 2023 CX-50 will be the first vehicle to offer it, running Mazda Connect 7th Gen software. Thanks for the confirmation.

It does connect by USB so I know teh connection works, I have reset the phone and no joy. My iPhone X works fine so I know the car can work. Only weird thing is when I go to the CarPlay app on her phone it does not show a car (only shows how to wirelessly). My X does show teh car. The car does not have wirelsss CarPlay.
